System Configuration:
22 Retriever Wireless Data Modules, including 1 weather station



At this large landfill, 21 Retriever units track leachate pump flow and level measurements. Another unit is an on-site weather station, with rain, barometric pressure, wind speed and direction sensors connected to it, illustrating the flexibility of the system.

Retriever data contributes to improved landfill management by providing early warning of trouble spots (malfunctioning pumps, blocked risers, etc.) before situations reach crisis conditions – allowing more effective utilization of maintenance resources. This proactive approach makes environmental compliance easier to achieve and protects against the possibility of Notices of Violation (NOVs) and the associated fines and public relations problems.
