This coal-fired power plant landfills ash in an area adjacent to an operating quarry. Complex site hydrogeology requires close monitoring of liquid levels in a cooling pond influenced by liquid pumping activity in the quarry and other aquifer withdrawals. Eight Retriever modules (5 multiwell, 2 single well and 1 measuring pond level) are being used to collect daily and hourly aquifer level data to provide a detailed picture for site management purposes.
